Control & Restraint Against Knife Attacker

SEPS (Situation Effective Protection System) Corporate Self Protection Training

Many companies have started to recognize that 'self protection' training has a serious and significant place within the enterprise.

In a violent world, many companies have found that they are exposing their staff and employees to a variety of potentially violent situations. This is not deliberate on the part of the enterprise but simply a fact of doing business in the modern world e.g. Managers may be called upon to conduct 'exit interviews' with employees who have ‘at that moment in time’ little reason to respect the protocols and conventions of the corporate environment, employees often have to deal with irate and aggressive customers (be it through electronic media, telephony or face-to-face) whilst adhering to strict company guidelines and protocols, often company employees, have to travel to locations they are unfamiliar with and run the risk of being a target for any number of criminal activities etc, etc.

In the majority of cases, these situations need to be either avoided or resolved using non-physical means.

By taking a situation-based approach to dealing with aggression and violence, SEPS training can be used to advise and train customer service staff how to deal with ‘angry’ phone calls and face-to-face potentially violent customer confrontations etc without having to resort to physical self-defence.

Defense Against A Bag Snatch Few businesses deal with ‘wild west’ situations on a daily basis however mostly this is because they have created places of work where their employees are respected by both each other and their customers. However when there is the potential for violence many staff feel out of their depth, not being sure what is expected and not expected of them by their employers e.g. having been told the customer is ‘always’ right but at the same time not to stand for certain types of behaviour they may feel confused as to how to work to company policy.

SEPS instructors, have worked with several companies helping them to communicate their health and safety policies to their staff and training them on how best to deal with the situations that they have to face. We have also offered training in physical self-defence (including specific female self defence, weapons defence, abduction training etc) control and restraint etc.

It may be that you are just looking for something a bit different for a corporate event, if so we have experience of putting on scenario based training days, using attackers wearing Redman protective suits.
